Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Accounting Vietnam collects, uses, shares and protects personal data through accountingvietnam.com, and the rights available to you under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). Last updated: January 2026.

Who we are

Accounting Vietnam is an independent lead generation platform that connects international companies with accounting and tax compliance providers in Vietnam. Accounting services are delivered by our partner network, not by us. We act as the data controller for personal data submitted through this website.

Data we collect

Contact details you submit through our proposal form: first name, last name, company, email address, and optionally phone number and message content. We also collect limited technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed and referring source. We do not knowingly collect data from children, and we do not ask for special category data.

Why we use your data and our legal basis

We use your enquiry data to respond to your request and to share it with a suitable accounting partner so they can prepare a proposal. Our legal basis is your consent when you submit the form, and our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website. We do not send automatic confirmation emails after form submission, and we do not use your enquiry for unrelated marketing without separate consent.

Sharing your data

We share enquiry details with accounting partners in Vietnam who can serve your request, and with service providers who host our website and manage our communications. We never sell or share personal data for cross-context behavioural advertising. Transfers outside the EEA and UK, including to Vietnam, are made under appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies required to run the site, and optional analytics cookies only if you accept them in our cookie banner. You can decline optional cookies without losing access to any part of the site, and you can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site.

How long we keep data

Enquiry data is retained for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless a longer period is required to meet legal obligations or to resolve a dispute. Technical log data is retained for a shorter period.

Your rights under the GDPR

If you are in the EEA or UK you may request access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Your rights under the CCPA/CPRA

If you are a California resident you may request to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, request deletion, request correction, and opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights, and you may use an authorised agent to submit a request.

Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted transport and access controls, to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
